• How do I best care for handmade ceramics?

  Our handmade tableware is strong and durable but like all ceramics and glass, it can break if knocked or dropped so handle it with care. Little Tree Studio ceramics are fired to 1220°C (vitrified) so you can safely put them in the dishwasher. If washing in the dishwasher be sure nothing is going to fall or bump against your items while washing.

• Can I put handmade ceramics in the dishwasher?

  Absolutely, all our ceramics tableware is strong, durable and dishwasher safe. Having said that, overtime dishwashers can cause some crazing on the surface of the glaze. This happens with all ceramics and some glasswear due to the high temperatures and commercial detergents.

• Will my item look exactly like the photo?

  We attempt to display product images as accurately as possible. However, due to lighting variations and different devices, the colour in the image may vary slightly from the actual colour of the item.

• Do you take special orders?

  Depending on your request, yes we do. Please get in touch and we'll have a chat.

• Why does some of your work look wonky?

  We don't do perfect! In fact, because each item is handmade it would not be imossible. We embrace the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi (侘寂). Little Tree Studio creates organic, free-form shapes, it's just one of the key ingredients that make our work unique and beautiful.

• What is wabi-sabi?

  In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (侘寂) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.

• What is the crazing in some peices?

  Glaze crazing and is a desired feature in some glazes. Don’t worry, glaze craze is not a crack and will not affect the functional or hygienic aspects of your piece(s). We'll always note if we have used a crazing glaze.

• Which payment methods are available?

  Payment is simple and secure. You can pay via squareup, with your credit card, paypal or by direct deposit.

• What are your Australian delivery costs

  We aim to keep shipping costs low. Shipping within Australia is based on the weight and size of your order and starts at only $5.00.

• Do you ship internationally?

  Yes we do! If you are purchasing from our online store shipping is calculated at check-out or you can email us for a shipping quote.

• Can I track my order?

  Yes, orders have a tracking number and in some cases may require a signature on delivery. You will receive a notification with a tracking number once your order is dispatched.

• How long will my order take to arrive?

  Delivery usually takes 3-14 days from the date of your order depending where you are located.

• What if my my item(s) is damaged during transit?

  We take great care in packaging so your items arrive safely. In the unfortunate event where goods arrive damaged during transit, please take note of any damage to both the packaging and item(s).
